McDougall Chartered Surveyors was originally established in July 1987 by Kenneth McDougall after a long and successful career in local government. He retired as Senior Depute Director of Architecture and Related Services for Strathclyde Region to set up the Practice.
He had an important role within the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors over many years in Divisional Council and on the Practice and Management Committee. He is a former Chairman of the RICS Quantity Surveyors Committee in Scotland, a former Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Building in Scotland and a former member of the National Council of the Chartered Institute of Building.
He is an honorary member and founder Chairman of the Society of Chief Quantity Surveyors in Scotland.
